This is a chess board using an image of a 1863 Gettysburg map which shows some of the troop locations during the battle in 1863. The map is attached to 3/5" plywood for support. Covering the map and ID pieces is about 1/32" layer of clear plexiglass resin which gave it a smooth strong finish. The board is enclosed in a weathered gray frame and 4 gray feet to raise the board off the table by about 2 inches. The underside of the board is also covered with a thin layer of plexiglass for a strong finish.
